It has been insufferably hot for the last 5 or 6 months; and it is nice to have a fall for a change! LOL That is not the norm here at all. And I am loveing it I put up my Fall decorationd on the first day of Fall and I will be putting up my Halloween lights monday.
So are you ready for the Holidays?

I'm haveing fun with flowers
Ok you'll never guess what I've been up to today,
I went to Jo Ann's and bought one of the autumn flower sprays,
then I went to Michel's and got a Marvy Uchida 1/2 inch circle punch with my 50% off coupon;
I went home and pulled the flowers all off of the stem, some of them were the little brown eyed Susan's.
So with my circle punch I punched out a 1/2 inch circle with the brown card stock,
then with my Martha stewards glitter glue (love it) I made the tiny tiny dots of glue in the middle and used the brownstone glitter to make the {fuzzy center} popped it in the middle of the flower with a glue dot and It looks fabulous!
Of course the brown on brown doesn't show up as well as I like but I'm going to try it on pumpkin card stock with the brownstone glitter; that should really make it pop.
I'll post pictures in the morning; I have to drive my son home tonight he's a storm refugee this week.
I'll add a tutorial soon!

Prima Flowers?
A while back I got one of those Jars of scrap booking flowers at Hobby Lobby I think they were 4.95 for a jar a little bigger that a large baby food jar. Needless to say there weren't many flowers in it; I decided that I like the flowers after all; after seeing a class done by Cheryl on SAHA. But I was not going to pay that much for flowers, so I went to the dollar store and got a 1.00 spray took it home and pulled it apart. I filled up an old container candle jar. About 3 times the size of the flower jar. Much cheaper and just as pretty on my shelf. By the way the flowers look great on my lay outs. And on my cards.
Walmart has a counter or island or what ever you want to call it with just 1.oo flower sprays on it, I pass it on the way back to the SB dept every time I go in there. Next time I will stop and look! Wink Wink.

Faith Booking
I ran across something new on the internet the other day; It is called faith booking, I had never heard of it before. But from what I am able to find out it looks very interesting it is combining Scrap booking with Scriptures and your walk with the Lord; I have not figued it all out, like any other type of craft you need to find your place with it.
But what I love about it is it gets you back into your Bible looking for verses to go with your lay outs.
And there are challenges on some of the sites that get you to thinking and looking at the things and people around you with new eyes.
What it boils down to is it winds up getting you to communicate with the Lord more and that is always a good thing for every one. I know it is for me.
Check it out here are a couple of links to get you started.
