Every year when we were, little my momma would give each one of us a life savers candy storybook. She would wrap them and leave them under the tree for my 2 sisters and me. I had totally forgotten about it until I saw these at the store

My momma made this pitcher when I was very little. It has about 6 cups that go with it. I love seeing her things at Christmas I feel like it keeps her here with us.

Counterfit kit Challange

I was surfing through Pintrest, my new favorite thing on the internet. And I found this site; the counterfeit kit challenge. I was intrigued at the ideal of making my own kits as a challenge! I will probably try this as soon as I finish tearing my craft room apart. (I'm in the middle of painting) Any way I'm thinking of putting together a few scrapbook kits in the Challenge. I've made kits before to take to crops. But doing it as a Challenge will be a great way to get myself to dig threw my stuff and repurpose it so it gets used.

This was the only border paper I owned LOL and that was because it was in a paper pack.

I signed up for Shmillie Lanes Journal your Christmas class over at her website. She has it every year it starts on the first of December and runs threw
January 6.
Once you sign up you do not have to pay for it again and you can do it every year.
She is a talented teacher, you get daily prompts, PDF's, and access to her videos.
I have wanted to do this every year but never got around to it. So I am very excited to be doing it this year. I will be posting pictures in the next day or so when I have finished altering my cover it is almost done.

My Garden this year

This is my big garden the one on the other side is not done, I am still filling it up with soil.
I had to put the ugly chicken wire around it to try to keep all the deer out of it, they were having a ball eating my plants this winter. the wire seems to be helping.

These are Brussels sprouts on the end, with some purple onions and garlic with some off my mom transplanted Irises.

On this end are my tomatoes and broccoli, and some more Onions.

These are the raised flower beds I am putting in. I still need to fill them with soil.
This big one below is the old garden my mom had the timbers need to be replaced, I am going to put some okra and green beans here.
I may replace the timbers with 12x12s and make it a raised bed so it will be easier for me to get to.

Hello evryone I am sorry I have been MiA for so long, I just had major surgrey last week and the recovery is going kinda slow. So I thought I would pop in and say Hi to every one. I have been working on mini books and loveing it! Well I was up to last week any way for right now I am on hold. I am saying with my sister until I am back on my feet. I can't wait to get back to my crafting; I just bought a cricket expressions machine (my sister is a bad influence on me) And I can't wait to use it on my mini books. I hope to be able to post some pictures for you soon.

Well it’s almost Christmas time again and I am so excited, I love the fall and Christmas season. I always have and always will this Christmas has gone very well for me I am off of the horrible meds that were sucking the life out of me and making me sleep all the time; and I am able to breathe better since I took the treatments to shrink the tumors in my chest.

I finished the Christmas countdown which is an Organizational tool form the Organized Christmas site. And by the first of December I was ready for Christmas.

I decide last year how I was going to do my tree and wrap my gifts. And I bought the paper after Christmas when it was on sale in the colors I wanted. I also started getting the spools of wire ribbon to match my paper when ever I saw them mostly at the dollar store. And I scrapped my gift tags which you can see on my Christmas blog; So my gifts look fabulous under my tree this year.(It’s almost a shame to give them away lol )

I put up my old green tree in the dinning room and my white tree in my living room.

I did my kitchen in gingerbread men and the whole house looks great! I have all my new wood laminate floors and my new French doors in the dinning room with the evergreen garland around them with the white lights and the matching wreathes I made to go on them.

My Halloween was also wonderful I had a Halloween party and while it was small it was fun; I am hoping it will be much larger next year.

My decorations were so cute I had every room full of fall stuff. My kitchen was full of bats and the dinning room full of skeletons and owls.

The living room was all pumpkins (see my fall blog)

We had my back yard done with the twinkles all up in the trees for light.

And we had a piñata for the grown ups it was so funny.

We almost had a hay ride but I waited to long to get the bales of hay; I was afraid that if I got them to soon that they would get full off fire ants.

Any way I hope to do better on my blog this year see you all in 2010!

Out of the 6 packages of pumpkin seeds I planted only 8 plants survived so far and they are not looking to good. I did notice last night when I was watering that one of then had a little blossom on it. So maybe I will get a little pumpkin, but I'm not counting on it. Our triple digits weather for the last 2 months has taken it's toll on my pumpkins.
My okra is doing very well, and my broccoli is hanging in there.
And I have been giving away fresh Basil to who ever will take it LOL.

I made this little recipe book out of some 4x6 spiral index cards

I like this small size because it fits in my purse when I run to the grocery store. And when you print your recipes on typing paper and cut them out and glue in to it; it will hold over 200 recipes

Some of the SAHA Challenges I've done

The first one was a Challenge to scrap one of your holidays with a picture of myself
the Second one was a Challenge to use a winter quote supplied by the challenger one each for winter, fall, summer, and spring. I have done the first two so far.
on the winter one I used CTMH baby blue card stock, with the just chillin snow flake stamps in twilight and white daisy ink. I used acrylic paint to do the snow and Mavy Uchida pens to do the tree and the snowman's buttons and hat. On the Autumn one I used my pens some punches and terracotta acrylic paint on the back ground.
